About us
Jacob Szloch
My name is Jacob and I am a Psychologist in Sydney. I was raised in country NSW before I completed my undergraduate at the University of Wollongong, then moved to Sydney to pursue my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. I have now lived in Sydney for 5 years and have fallen in love with the city.
I am also currently pursuing my doctorate with the University of Sydney in the clinical impacts of cyber identity theft and scams, to help build a better understanding of how to support victims of these crimes. I recently presented a poster at the CyPsy27 conference in Sydney.
I utilise a wide range of different therapeutic techniques, depending on the needs of the person. Some of the techniques I utilise are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT_ to address a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, substance use, sleep disorders, and self-esteem issues.
I currently offer VR-assisted therapy, and I am aiming to deliver animal-assisted therapy by the end of 2025.
For more, please check out my list of conditions I can assist with.
If you have any questions about whether I would be able to assist, please do not hesitate to flick an email or give us a call to have a chat.
